GEO Business 2025 welcomes record-breaking 6,100 attendees

GEO Business wrapped up another record-breaking edition at Excel London on 4–5 June 2025, bringing together the brightest minds and boldest technologies shaping the future of geospatial.

The 11th edition of the event welcomed 6,100 attendees over the two days, and more than 4,850 unique attendees, a 15% year-on-year increase.

Visitors flew in from around the world, from Japan and Hong Kong to Zimbabwe and the Philippines, reaffirming GEO Business as the UK’s flagship geospatial event and a growing hub for the global community.

Show-stopping features

This year’s standout attractions included the G1 Humanoid Robot and its agile sidekick – a “robot dog” or quadruped – who quickly became the stars of the show floor. Meanwhile, the GEO Drinks Trail added a fun twist to networking, encouraging connections with stops at selected exhibitor stands.

The Women in Geospatial+ Networking Session created a welcoming space for connection, support, and celebration of diversity in the industry – a key highlight for many attendees.

Sandra Myrtue (KI Monitoring) shared from the show floor: “A great place to make connections you didn’t think were possible, and to discover technology you didn’t know you needed.”

“What I found at GEO Business was an audience full of passionate, forward-thinking professionals who weren’t just interested in technology,” said Rami Tamimi (The Survey School). “They were eager to have honest conversations about education, mentorship, and the future of the profession.”

Paul Naylor (British Cartographic Society) said at the show: “It’s a great opportunity to engage with fellow geo enthusiasts, meet new people and create new contacts.”

Future-focused conversations

With a packed programme of 150 sessions across multiple theatres, the show tackled some of the most urgent and exciting topics in geospatial. From AI and automation to digital twins, UAVs, GIS, data ethics, sustainability, and climate resilience.

Experts from government, industry, and academia shared practical insights and bold ideas that reflected the growing influence of geospatial across construction, infrastructure, environment, defence, and beyond.

Dr. Andy Evans (Topcon Positioning Systems) shared at the show: “I’m really impressed with the great quality of seminars and well thought out selection of presentations. The buzz for the event is incredible.”

“The event provides a great platform for sharing new innovations and best practice with industry peers – and continues to curate a diverse programme of speakers,” said speaker Paul Drury (GeoSmart Information).

Speaker Adrian Brindley (Apache iX) said: “It’s great to be able to present to key geospatial professionals from across the UK, connect with them, and keep improving geospatial as a capability – together.”

A showcase of the latest technology

The exhibition floor featured the best in geospatial tech from 110 leading suppliers. Attendees had the chance to explore solutions from Bluesky International, Coptrz, Esri UK, Faro Technologies, G2 Survey, GeoMax UK and Ireland, OXTS, NavVis, Radiodetection, RIEGL, Screening Eagle, SEP Geospatial, Spyrosoft, and more.

From drones, sensors, and scanners to reality capture, GIS, AI-powered analytics, and data integration platforms, the show floor offered a hands-on look at the latest innovations.

“GEO Business brings together the sharpest minds across digital emerging and geospatial technologies,” said Dr Nikos Papapesios (Knight Frank). “Events like this are a reminder that innovation is not just about technology but collaboration, curiosity, and challenging the status quo to create better products and smarter decisions.”

Speaker Kirsty Wilman (Rebalance Earth) said: “The event was packed with fascinating technology designed to help us better understand land use, measure impact, and develop robust baselines – all critical tools as we face increasingly complex challenges around how land is used, valued, and protected.”

A growing community with a global outlook

Now more than ever, geospatial data and technology are at the heart of solving real-world challenges, from smart cities and infrastructure to sustainability and security.

GEO Business 2025 proved once again that the sector is growing, evolving, and gaining recognition. And that this annual gathering is the beating heart of that movement.

GEO Business Event Manager, Annie Reardon-Smith shares: “GEO Business 2025 was an incredible celebration of the innovation, energy, and diversity driving the geospatial industry forward. The buzz on the show floor made it clear that this community is growing stronger and more influential every year. We’re proud to provide a space where ideas are shared and partnerships are formed – and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back in 2026.”
