Teledyne CARIS to showcase innovative marine solutions at Ocean Business 2025

Fredericton, New Brunswick, CANADA – April 3, 2025 – Teledyne CARIS will feature its latest advancements in ocean mapping software solutions at Ocean Business 2025, being held at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, UK from April 8-10.

Visitors to the Teledyne CARIS booth U12 can experience the future of hydrographic and marine data solutions. At this year’s event, we are proud to present a Teledyne CARIS live demo in collaboration with Teledyne Marine on their demo vessel. The vessel will be acquiring data and streaming it live to the CARIS stand using CARIS Onboard. This demonstration will also feature lidar acquisition from the Teledyne Optech CL-360M lidar for scanning the shoreline, providing a comprehensive view of our capabilities.

Visitors to our stand will have the opportunity to see featured products in action, including:

  • CARIS Onboard: A powerful edge processing solution for real-time hydrographic data processing
  • HIPS and SIPS: Now with automatic corrections, this release introduces several improvements to the Subset Corrections functionality, making it more versatile and faster. Check out our video to learn more about these enhancements.
  • CARIS AutoChart: An advanced tool for automatically creating and updating nautical charts with ease.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see the Optech Fathom topobathy lidar solution on display at Ocean Business. This innovative technology can map the gap between land and water, complementing acoustic surveys by delivering detailed data over the coast. Fathom meets IHO Special Order Standards and delivers 45 times more productivity in the intertidal zone, allowing for safe and fast coverage of remote and shallow project areas at a rate of 50 square kilometers per hour.

Teledyne Geospatial unifies the hardware and software expertise of both Teledyne CARIS and Teledyne Optech. The new group provides customers with innovative integrated solutions. Offerings include turnkey systems, lidar and sonar integrated workflows and a range of systems and solutions that support holistic, precision data collection.
