This dedicated 10-person team supports innovative solutions, mitigates risks, and capitalizes on opportunities, fostering collaboration and trust across the organization. Over time, the Civic Analytics Division has transitioned from a traditional GIS services provider to a forward-thinking unit leading the city’s spatial data program’s expansion, maturation, and evolution, with a focus beyond technology.

Lauri Sohl, Sioux Falls Civic Analytics and Data Officer, shared her perspective:
“By extending the organization’s capabilities across departments, supporting colleagues and leadership with data, visualizations, and analytics, we provide greater context for developing solutions that promote sustainable growth across the community.
