GIS Certification Institute Partners with Pearson VUE, to Expand Global Testing Centers to 4,500, Enhancing International Reach

[Des Plaines, IL – August 21, 2024] – The GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) is excited to announce a major expansion of its testing network for the Geospatial Core Technical Exam and the upcoming PreGISP exam. Through a strategic partnership with Pearson VUE, a leading provider of computer-based testing for certification and licensure exams, the number of GISCI testing centers worldwide will increase from 800 to 4,500.

This collaboration with Pearson VUE represents a pivotal step in GISCI’s mission to broaden its international presence and make the GISP® certification program more accessible to aspiring GIS Professionals, especially those with limited nearby testing centers. The expanded network of testing centers now includes greatly enhanced options for Kuwait, Australia, Italy, Israel, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and 175 other countries, as well as expanded access in North America. The move underscores GISCI’s dedication to providing the entire international GIS community with greater accessibility during the certification process.
