WGIC DEI Trailblazer Awards 2024 – Nominations Now Open

The Hague, The Netherlands: The World Geospatial Industry Council (WGIC) is excited to call for nominations for the coveted DEI Trailblazer Awards 2024. The awards recognize and honor professionals, leaders and organizations championing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the geospatial community.

Nominations for the 2024 DEI Trailblazer Awards are now open in the following categories:

  • WGIC DEI Trailblazer – Individual Champion
    Celebrates individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to DEI by implementing and embodying DEI principles and best practices in their professional lives. This award focuses on individual’s impactful actions and initiatives within their organizations and the geospatial community.

  • WGIC DEI Trailblazer – Corporate Impact
    Honors organizations that have made significant advances in DEI within their workplaces and the geospatial ecosystem. This award recognizes dedication to creating inclusive corporate cultures and integrating DEI best practices into their operations.

  • WGIC DEI Trailblazer – Advocacy Award
    Acknowledges significant advocacy efforts that have shaped DEI policies and practices. This award recognizes individuals and entities in the private, public, and academic sectors within the geospatial community for their impactful advocacy campaigns and/or influence on policy. This award represents our dedication to celebrating and amplifying the voices making a significant difference in our field.”

  • July 31, 2024: Last date for the submission of nominations
  • September 1, 2024: Announcement of the winners
  • September 24-26, 2024: Presentation of the awards at INTERGEO 2024 in Stuttgart, Germany
