1Spatial, RMSI, and Cyclomedia map public utility networks

RMSI Ltd., READING, UNITED KINGDOM – Following several successful joint projects, 1Spatial, RMSI, and Cyclomedia, three leading providers of solutions and services for the digital transformation of network infrastructures, are joining forces to address the market for mapping of utility networks. This alliance will provide infrastructure managers with fast, accurate, complete, and up-to-date mapping of their networks (water/sanitation, energy, and telecoms), thereby placing critical data at the heart of their projects.

Leveraging the three companies’ extensive experience in network data production, this alliance aims to provide technologies and services for capturing, recalibrating, and enriching data used by infrastructure managers, in particular on the basis of existing plans and immersive views, to produce a complete georeferenced network inventory in a vector-based and standardised format.

This synergy between the 3 areas of expertise proposed by this alliance will provide network operators with the crucial geospatial context needed to build a digital twin to support their activities:

• Develop Smart-Grids to ensure the necessary energy transition
• Improve safety in the proximity of networks in compliance with work project regulations
• Manage network maintenance and extensions to reduce their environmental impact and their costs.
1Spatial, RMSI and Cyclomedia support companies in their digital transformation of utility networks, by converting network data into usable information.

About
1Spatial is a major geospatial software and solutions provider, specialised in Location Master Data Management. 1Spatial provides data validation and data production services to help its customer use digital, data to better manage their assets and infrastructure. 1Spatial has a Data Engineering division (over 60 people), which carries out projects involving plan digitisation, data reengineering, vector recalibration, enrichment, transformation and validation, and data quality improvement based on automated business rules. This production chain is complemented by the FME technologies, of which 1Spatial is a certified reseller and specialist, and the 1Integrate software, recognised for its power in automatic processing of large volumes of data, of which the company is the software editor.

RMSI is a supplier of geospatial technologies to major global technology players, and is recognised as one of the best companies to work for. RMSI has the technical capability to digitise the external world on a large scale, with high accuracy and in 3D, to help public sector organisations and businesses assess external infrastructure and plan improvements more efficiently, safely and sustainably. Based mainly in India and the UK, some 1,000 of its 6,500 employees are operators and experts in the field of network digitisation.

Cyclomedia develops, builds and operates the world’s most advanced mobile mapping systems, capturing over 850,000 km per year. Its high-precision geospatial imagery enables its customers – public enterprises and private companies worldwide – to visualise, map and analyse all their infrastructures. Thanks to AI, the representation of public space is enriched by detailed equipment data that is accurate, reliable and exploitable within information systems.
