John “JB” Byrd Promoted to President

Fairfax, VA – Miller/Wenhold Capitol Strategies today announced that John “JB” Byrd has been promoted to President of the firm. This new position is a recognition of the hard work and growth JB has demonstrated over his tenure with the firm, as well as the future leadership he will provide on government affairs services to clients.

Byrd has most recently served as Senior Vice President for Miller/Wenhold, where he has played a leading role in overseeing its policy team. JB specializes in transportation, infrastructure, and geospatial issues for clients. JB is considered one of the premier experts in the area of geospatial issues in Washington. He has been a government affairs professional and registered lobbyist for more than 17 years. He joined John M. Palatiello & Associates, Inc., in 2005 and transitioned to Miller/Wenhold when the firms merged in 2018.

In addition to his work for Miller/Wenhold and its clients, JB has been recognized as one of Washington’s Top Lobbyists in 2020 and 2021 by the National Institute For Lobbying & Ethics, the professional association of practitioners in the government affairs field. JB has been recognized by over 14,000 of his peers as one of the top in the profession.

Byrd now takes charge of a growing policy team, where he will chart the firm’s future growth and service delivery.

“JB is an amazing professional who is the right person at the right time to take charge of our firm’s growth and path forward,” stated Paul Miller, partner with Miller/Wenhold. “I for one am excited to work under his leadership and watch as he takes this step and see where it takes MW,” added Miller.

“This is a well-deserved promotion and recognition for JB,” said Miller/Wenhold partner John Palatiello. “He has an outstanding reputation in Congress, Federal agencies, and the Washington lobbying community and a track record of success in advocacy of public policy. We look forward to his leadership to continue the growth of our firm and effective service to our clients.”

Miller/Wenhold is a federal focused policy firm that specializes in geospatial, healthcare, transportation, engineering, infrastructure, maritime, tax, trade, small business, procurement, and education issues for clients.
