Prior to joining Dewberry, Deshpande worked as an associate professor at Penn State University where he taught geospatial and surveying courses and conducted research. Additionally, he served as the program coordinator of the surveying engineering program.

“Sagar brings a great mix of applications research in the field of hydrology and hydrography, as well as in-depth knowledge of remote sensing and surveying to our geospatial and technology services group,” says Dewberry Associate Vice President and Geospatial Technology Manager Josh Novac, GISP. “I look forward to working with Sagar to apply his vast breadth of knowledge to provide additional value to our clients.”

Deshpande earned his doctorate (2017) and master’s (2008) degrees in geodetic science from The Ohio State University, a master’s (2004) in civil engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and a bachelor’s (2001) in civil engineering from SPCE, University of Mumbai.
