1Spatial supports major Northern Ireland government digital transformation programme

1Spatial has been named as the exclusive spatial consultant within the consortium, to guide the validation and integration of spatial data usage and technologies throughout the LPS enterprise. The framework will support the delivery of LPS’s 2025 strategy by creating a more customer-focused, integrated, agile and efficient organisation. These services will enable LPS to use accurate and reliable information about land and property to support public services and economic development in Northern Ireland, placing it as a global leader in the delivery of land and property services.

Claire Milverton, CEO of 1Spatial, commented: “I’m thrilled to announce another significant multi-year framework agreement to support a governmental digital transformation programme, in conjunction with our partner Version1. This is an exciting contract supporting the Northern Ireland Department of Finance’s far-reaching NOVA programme. The win is evidence of our strong partnership approach, and our ground-breaking technology as a key enabler for the end solutions. It supports our goal to deliver sustainable growth at scale, and underlines our leadership position for Location Master Data Management for national government programmes.”

Spatial data is at the heart of almost every business transaction, application, report and decision within LPS. LPS has recognised that to deliver effective master data management, unique geospatial identifiers will be needed across its data assets to ensure that multiple versions of the same master data do not exist in different parts of its business. This data will also underpin the operational foundation of a new range of land and property services, enabling connections between multiple government departments including property, taxation, agriculture, housing and policing.

Tom O’Connor, CEO at Version 1, said “We are delighted to be delivering this exciting digital transformation programme for our long-standing customer LPS, alongside our strategic partner 1Spatial. Our partnership with 1Spatial is key not only to this relationship but also to our wider strategic focus across this sector in the UK and Ireland. Our combined expertise and experience in this area will continue to add real value to this sector.”
