GEO Business 2021 call for speakers deadline extended until 13 August

Calling all geospatial experts! There’s still time to apply to speak at GEO Business 2021.

The team behind GEO Business have extended the deadline for the show’s call for speakers. Applicants now have until Friday 13 August to apply to take to the stage at the 2021 event.

GEO Business is the UK’s largest geospatial event designed for everyone involved in the gathering, storing, processing and delivery of geospatial information. The show will take place on 24-25 November 2021 at ExCeL London and is expected to attract over 3,000 visitors from the geospatial community.

The event features six theatres, with over 150 free-to-attend seminars. So there are plenty of speaking opportunities on offer.

Event director Ollie Hughes says: “There’s still time to apply to join our programme of speakers and share your geospatial story with the community at GEO Business, live and in-person for the first time since the pandemic begun. You now have an extra two weeks to send us your seminar proposals – so get applying today!

“We’re looking for presentations that relate to our conference theme for 2021: ‘The future of the geospatial profession’. If you’ve got an idea for a presentation, case study, workshop or panel discussion that connects to our theme, we’d love to hear it.

“Presentations that cover one of our four focus areas are of particular interest: Technology & Innovation; Data & Ethics; Sustainability & Net Zero; and People & Skills.

“We also want to support diversity in the geospatial community, so we’re really keen to give a platform to speakers from under-represented groups and those who haven’t presented before. Even if you’re new to the profession, if you can offer fresh new angles and perspectives, then we want to hear from you.”

“There’s no limit on the number of times you can enter, so don’t be afraid to submit more than one proposal – and be creative and daring with your submission.”

To apply, potential speakers need to submit details of their presentation via call for speakers application form (www.geobusinessshow.com/call-for-speakers-2021) before the deadline of Friday 13 August.
