Hommel Vermessungssysteme Now Offers Drone Surveying Equipment from Microdrones

Hommel Vermessungssysteme, an official Geomax distributor from Jena, Germany has joined the global distribution network of Microdrones and will be providing drone surveying equipment and Microdrones as a Service to their customers.

The company, which has been in business for over 20 years, was recently acquired by Mark Kuerner, who plans to oversee continued growth and innovation for Hommel Vermessungssysteme. The business offers products and services for geomatics professionals including rental, repair, support, and calibration.

“We are a full-service provider in the field of surveying,” explains Kuerner. “Now, we are pleased to add drone surveying equipment to our strong portfolio. Lately, we’ve received much more interest in drone surveying. So, in searching for a long-term partner that could provide high-quality, reliable solutions with the best data quality and reliability, we selected Microdrones. We look forward to this new relationship and showing our customers how they can save time and grow their business with the complete, integrated solutions from Microdrones.”

Samuel Flick, the Microdrones sales manager for Central Europe, worked closely with Kuerner. “Hommel was receiving more inquiries for drone surveying solutions and wanted to provide their customers with the best options in the market,” said Flick. “So, we are happy to be in a partnership with a company that is innovative, demands high-quality services, and prioritizes service and support to keep their customers satisfied.”

Hommel Vermessungssysteme has been in business for over 20 years and in early 2021 was taken over by Kuerner from Mr. and Mrs. Matthias Hommel as the new CEO and Owner. “The two have successfully managed the company for 20 years,” adds Kuerner. “I would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Hommel for their trust and support as I look forward to growing the business.”
