WISER to Virtually Debut New RTLS Features at M&T 2020

RALEIGH, NC — WISER Systems, a developer of innovative ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless location and tracking systems, will demonstrate several new real-time location and tracking system features at Industry Week’s Manufacturing & Technology virtual expo, December 01-03, 2020.

As a featured virtual exhibitor at M&T 2020, WISER will present live demonstrations of the WISER Locator, showing how physical items like forklifts, containers, and other assets can be monitored and tracked in real time. Manufacturers currently use the WISER Locator to track critical processes and items in aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, and heavy equipment manufacturing environments, among others.

“We’re thrilled to be returning to M&T, albeit virtually, after exhibiting there for the past two years,” said WISER CEO Dr. Elaine Rideout. “Over our years in business, we’ve found distinct value for the WISER Locator system in manufacturing environments. Manufacturers traditionally have many parts moving simultaneously around them at all times, and the challenging conditions of manufacturing environments—including noisy welding lines and the presence of metal obstacles—calls for technology solutions built to match. Our team has developed just such a solution.”

Sponsored by Industry Week, M&T gathers both manufacturers and technology leaders from across the globe. The focus of the event is “connecting manufacturers with innovative solutions and insights” as described on the expo website. This year’s event will feature leaders from brands such as Ford, Qualcomm, Johnson & Johnson, ExxonMobil, and Intel.

The event will include over 36 distinct sessions. Conference tracks will address technology-focused subjects such as smart manufacturing and factory automation, as well as talent management, leadership, and continuous improvement. The event’s popular factory tours have been repurposed as virtual events so that attendees can still share inside looks at how leading factories adopt and implement technology to improve.

About WISER Systems, Inc.

WISER’s innovative Redundant Radio Localization Technology (RRLT) delivers scalable real-time positioning without requiring—or interfering with—WiFi or GPS. The system autonomously reports precise (sub-meter-to inch-level) coordinates via a computer or mobile device and is accurate even without line-of-sight in cluttered, metallic, or complex manufacturing environments where conventional tracking technologies perform poorly. The system is lightweight and portable and can be deployed in minutes, indoors or out. Although WISER’s Locator has only been on the market for a few years, 25% of WISER customers are Fortune 500 companies, including several large aerospace, automotive companies, and defense contractors, as well as multiple U.S. Government agencies. WISER designs and manufactures its products in North America.
