According to Goldblatt, the challenge is in making sense of all this data and converting it into meaningful information that can actually save or improve people’s lives. Understanding the unique demographic characteristics of populations in regions that have traditionally lacked up-to-date demographic data is key for achieving a better and more sustainable human society.
Dr. Guzman explains that together, NLT`s and NoBrainerData’s teams will provide innovative and non-traditional tools that can help, for example, evaluate the impacts of poverty reduction programs; determine the readiness of health services to face pandemics and other global health challenges; map the unique characteristics of population exposed and natural and man-made disasters; improve census cartography and data collection; and make demographic data more accessible and usable.
