Space Symposium 365: November Schedule of Upcoming Virtual Events Released

Next Round of Exclusive Programming Announced, Featuring More Interviews, Discussions, and Award Presentations with Space Leaders

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  — Space Foundation, a 501(c)(3) global space advocate for nearly 40 years, has released the November schedule of upcoming events for its new Space Symposium 365, the ultimate digital platform for space policy makers, industry professionals, international partners, as well as students, educators, and young professionals. Registration providing unlimited access to a year of Space Symposium 365 discussions, presentations, and more is available now at spacesymposium365.org.

 

Building on the success of the annual in-person Space Symposium, the virtual Space Symposium 365 successfully launched last month featuring exclusive expert panels, interviews, mission updates, and roundtables delivering insight into the space community’s most pressing priorities and challenges. Last month’s programs are also available on demand to all subscribers.

 

Upcoming programming for the month of November includes:

• Interview with Commander, U.S. Space Command, Gen. James Dickinson, U.S. Army, sponsored by Lockheed Martin (Nov. 5, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. EST)
• Panel discussion with the International Space Station “Expedition One” crew to commemorate the 20th anniversary of continuous human operations, sponsored by Boeing (Nov. 18, 2 – 3 p.m. EST)
• New Generation Space Leaders Panel: “Unmute Yourself: Be Heard in the Virtual World,” about utilizing virtual resources to successfully advance space careers (Nov. 19, 1 – 2 p.m. EST)

 

The first set of Space Symposium 365 events last month provided subscribers with the following programs, now available to all subscribers on demand:

• NASA’s legendary flight director Gene Kranz of Apollo 13 fame accepted the 2020 General James E. Hill Lifetime Space Achievement Award, accompanied by a biographical film
• NASA mission update and discussion on what’s to come for the agency, with NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine
• Updates on standing up the Space Force with Air Force Secretary Barbara M. Barrett, and U.S. Space Force CSO General “Jay” Raymond
• Briefing with Director of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Dr. Christopher Scolese

 

And here’s a peek at the featured events already scheduled for December:

• Panel on Workforce Perspectives: “A View from Industry Leaders and New Generation Professionals,” sponsored by Lockheed Martin (Dec. 8, 1 – 2 p.m. EST)
• JPL Director Dr. Michael Watkins to accept the John L. “Jack” Swigert, Jr., Award for Space Exploration on behalf of the NASA JPL InSight/Mars Cube One joint project flight teams (Dec. 11)
• Update with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Associate Administrator for Commercial Space Transportation, Brig. Gen. Wayne R. Monteith, USAF (Ret.) (Dec. 15, 1 – 2 p.m. EST)

 

More exclusive programming with senior executives from civil, military, intelligence, and commercial sectors will be announced as they are confirmed.
