Important Announcement Regarding the 2020 GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference in Louisville

In recognition of the growing health risks worldwide posed by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and decisions by governments and businesses to curtail activities over the next few weeks, it is with great regret that we inform you that IAAO and URISA have decided to cancel the 2020 GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference, scheduled to take place March 23-26, 2020 in Louisville Kentucky.

The health and safety of our members, attendees, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors is our top priority. We believe that, given the current situation, cancelling this event is for the overall benefit of all parties involved.

With concurrence of the IAAO President Amy Rasmussen, RES, AAS, FIAAO and URISA President Keri Brennan, GISP we are operating out of an abundance of caution after reviewing guidance from the CDC, and getting input from members who raised concerns about being absent from their communities during this crisis.

This has been a very difficult decision and we would like to thank all our partners, sponsors, exhibitors, and participants for their understanding at this time.

We’re working on the process for conference registrants to request a refund or transfer registration to next year’s GIS/Valuation Technologies Conference and will communicate that as soon as possible. Please remember to contact the Omni Louisville (phone: 502/313-6664) to cancel your hotel reservations.

We greatly appreciate all of the speakers who had offered to share knowledge with the community. We were looking forward to your presentations and will follow up with future opportunities.

Sponsors/exhibitors, we also look forward to discussing opportunities to connect with IAAO and URISA members. Thank you for your support.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our participants and partners. Our sympathies go to those who are affected with COVID-19 around the world.
