2020 MidAmerica GIS Symposium Announced for April 20-23

OMAHA, Neb. – The MidAmerica GIS Symposium, the premier regional geospatial technologies conference, will be held April 20-23, 2020, in Omaha, Nebraska. This event marks the 32nd anniversary of the MidAmerica GIS Consortium (MAGIC). MAGIC is a network of dedicated leaders in the fields of mapmaking, location services, and data management. Join MAGIC and attend the symposium to engage with geospatial professionals in the public and private sectors, and learn from those who proffer the best practices in the industry – take home information you can use today and envision your geospatial future.

The Symposium features three days of concurrent sessions from our nine-state regional membership; 18 pre-conference hands-on workshops, including topics such as Redistricting, Legal Issues, Python, Introduction to ArcPro, Drone Imagery, Program Management, Geospatial Workflows, plus additional workshops focusing on advanced topics for data management, analytics, and visualization. Exhibitors from leading geospatial firms will be on hand to demonstrate the most current technologies and practices in the industry. Keynote speakers include Bill Johnson, Carpe Geo Evangelist, and Keith Masback, owner of Plum Run, which specializes in geospatial intelligence.

Our Symposium Planning Team is a group of established leaders and practitioners from state, local and private industry sectors who always deliver on the promise of superior educational and networking opportunities. They believe geospatial technology creates value far reaching from themselves and guarantee that the experience of a MAGIC Symposium truly is a magical event.

Please join us for the most valuable educational seminar in mid- America GIS at the Omaha Doubletree April 20 -23, 2020. Email any questions to MAGIC planning committee members Tony Spicci or Shellie Willoughby. Looking forward to seeing you there!
