Terra Drone Indonesia demonstrates Terra Lidar for state-owned construction company Waskita Karya in West Java

Purwakarta – Terra Drone Indonesia just held a demonstration of Terra Lidar (Light Detection and Ranging) technology in one of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk’s work last October. The demonstration was precisely carried out at the Jakarta -Cikampek II Toll Road construction project in the Purwakarta region, West Java. Mapping using Terra Lidar produces maps in the form of 3-dimensional images in detail that will identify various important areas of development that are needed in construction work.

The use of Terra Lidar has become a recognized method for capturing topographic details, structure, and scale of existing cities. In construction, the LiDAR system will provide an instant and accurate 3D visual comparison between planned progress and the actual progress being made. Construction is one industry that applies the technology because of its use that can be done at every stage of the work. There are two simple reasons why Terra Lidar is so helpful for construction work, which is because it can save time and budget for construction. The LiDAR system can also provide an aerial view of the work area very easily.

Terra Drone Indonesia has helped a lot of work to several large contracting companies in Indonesia using Terra Lidar, starting from baseline survey activities, planning and basic design, compilation of Bill of Quantity, implementation of construction in the field to documentation needs after construction activities such as modeling in 3 dimensions. Seeing the benefits of Terra Lidar that can facilitate various construction works, now Terra Drone Indonesia provides the technology to be implemented and owned directly for companies in Indonesia. In addition to work in the field of construction, Terra Lidar can also be utilized in various other sector jobs such as mining, oil and gas, plantation, to the utility sector.
