Daniel Kruimel joins Teledyne as Regional Sales Manager, Australia and New Zealand for CARIS and Optech

Fredericton, NB, Canada — August 7, 2019 — Teledyne CARIS™ and Teledyne Optech™, both part of the Teledyne Technologies company [NYSE: TDY], are pleased to welcome Mr. Daniel Kruimel to the group as Regional Sales Manager for Australia and New Zealand. In this dual role, Mr. Kruimel will concentrate on expanding the reach of both the CARIS and Optech product portfolios, as well as continuing to provide seamless service and support for existing clients in the regions.

He was instrumental in key account success for CARIS in the past and his more recent experience with both airborne and mobile mapping will help to identify new opportunities and strengthen our position as industry leaders in the market.”

Mr. Kruimel brings with him a Bachelor of Geoinformatics and Surveying from the University of South Australia (Adelaide) and an immense wealth of knowledge of the survey industry – both hydrographic and lidar. After beginning his career working for a land and hydrographic survey company, he joined Teledyne CARIS in 2011 as a Technical Support Consultant, primarily focused on HIPS and SIPS™ and Bathy DataBASE™. He was integral in the implementation of CARIS software solutions across the APAC region including the Royal Australian Navy, Port of Melbourne Corporation, and National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) of New Zealand. In 2013, Mr. Kruimel joined AAM and managed projects with the Singapore Government’s 3D National Map Initiative including a 5,500km mobile mapping survey and a combined aerial imagery and lidar survey in Singapore’s challenging airspace.
