CubeWerx geospatial imagery platform goes production for the Canadian Government after a successful Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP) pilot

Gatineau – CubeWerx today announced the successful transition of a Build in Canada Innovation Program (BCIP) pilot project to production status, with a contract to provide its geospatial web service technology to the Canadian Government.

The BCIP program (now consolidated under Innovative Solutions Canada) provides government departments with the resources to test new and innovative technology from Canadian companies.

Under the program, CubeWerx technology was evaluated by the Canadian Forces for its ability to rapidly manage and publish large volumes of aerial and satellite imagery and produce lightweight open web services.

“The BCIP program is successfully delivering on its capacity-building promises for the federal government by introducing innovative Canadian technology into many operational government activities. This contract solidifies our relationship with the department of defense in Canada and further enhances our role as a strategic business partner for the Canadian government”, said Edric Keighan, President and CEO of CubeWerx. “

“This announcement demonstrates the technology’s potential and reaffirms that CubeWerx’ commitment to open standards and interoperability is a valuable priority to the national and international mapping community”

Targeted primarily at the data provider market, the CubeWerx geospatial platform provides a cloud-based or on-premise data publishing solution that scales to meet the most demanding requirements for performance, collaborative mapping, and data currency.
