Kratos Establishes Another International Operating Range Site, Adding to its Substantial List of Qualified Operating Sites on its Target Drone Resume

SAN DIEGO – Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc.(NASDAQ:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that it has recently successfully completed acceptance flights to qualify one of their high performance unmanned jet drones for operation on a new international range for an existing customer. This successful mission demonstrated key and unique operational characteristics required for this specific range, exemplifying the operational utility of this high performance target drone across the launch, flight, and recovery modes. The drone is configurable with multiple payloads allowing it to simulate multiple airborne threats and enabling the development and qualification of future weapon systems. Kratos is a leading provider of high-performance jet-powered unmanned aerial drone systems for both target and tactical applications; providing the aircraft systems, command and control equipment, and mission subsystems for these applications.  Due to competitive, customer related, and other considerations, no additional information related to this contract will be provided at this time.

Steve Fendley, President of Kratos Unmanned Systems Division, said, “The entire first quarter of 2019 has been a series of major successes for our unmanned aircraft systems, both targets and tactical, with new systems being flight proven, new customer operating sites being established, and new/enhanced capabilities being demonstrated.”
