WASHINGTON, D.C. — Team TBG has been awarded a contract in support of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Professional and Technical (ProTech) Services Oceans Domain. Team TBG consists of 11 scientific, research and geospatial companies focused on oceanic and coastal concerns, formed to comprehensively support NOAA.

ProTech is a suite of contracting vehicles organized into five domains: Satellite, Fisheries, Weather, Oceans and Enterprise Operations. These domains provide an industrial base of professional, scientific and technical resources for use by NOAA and other bureaus within the U.S. Department of Commerce. The amount allocated across the five domains has a ceiling of $3 billion.

The ProTech Oceans Domain enables NOAA’s National Ocean Service (NOS) to acquire geospatial mapping and scientific data collection, create partnerships to define science-based solutions, and address economic, environmental and social pressures on U.S. oceans and coasts.

TBG is one of multiple firms to be awarded an IDIQ contract for ProTech Oceans. The contract has a two-year base period, with three one-year optional periods.

“This award validates our belief that our collective team has the powerful potential to offer solid tactical support as well as innovative strategic solutions to advance NOAA’s NOS mission,” TBG President Dr. Baldwin H. Tom said. “This research and actionable information will help decision-makers make informed choices. We are proud to be part of this vital effort.”
