Hexagon’s Geospatial Division Supporting the SIDE II Contract in the European Union

NORCROSS, Ga.– Hexagon’s Geospatial division announces that it is now an approved supplier for the Software for Innovation, Diversity and Evolution II (SIDE II) contract in the European Union (EU).

Hexagon is now capable of helping EU agencies to best embrace geospatial data and visualization capabilities for supporting mission success. Specifically, Hexagon is offering its full portfolio of Luciad solutions, which empowers users to create a Smart Digital Reality by supporting live connections to dynamic sensor feeds in a 3D environment. The result is a real-time, rapid fusion of multi-source content and the ability to perform analytics on-the-fly.

Awarded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Informatics (DIGIT), SIDE II allows more than 50 EU institutions and 30 EU agencies in 28 countries to order a wide-range of software with Bechtle serving as the prime reseller for this purchasing vehicle.

“We are excited to be an approved supplier for one of the largest software contracts in the EU in recent years,” said Mladen Stojic, President of Hexagon’s Geospatial division. “EU agencies and institutions now have the ability to better visualize and analyze dynamic information to solve mission critical and real-world challenges – from defense to energy regulation to environmental protection and beyond.”
