Hexagon Presents Solutions for Smart Digital Realities at INTERGEO 2018

Hexagon AB, a global leader in digital solutions, is showcasing its extensive portfolio of reality capture hardware and integrated software at INTERGEO, the global hub for the geospatial community, taking place in Frankfurt, Germany, from 16-18 October.

Hexagon’s presence at INTERGEO is highlighted by an extensive, 880-square-metre booth, where Hexagon will offer hands-on demonstrations for reality capture devices, airborne sensors and UAVs, measurement technology, cloud computing, artificial intelligence applications, and more. Together, these solutions enable smart digital realities, where the physical world and the digital world become one to solve for today’s challenges while preparing for future unknowns.

While onsite, Hexagon will be announcing several new products and solutions that will be on display for the first time in Hall 12.1, Booth D.023.

“INTERGEO is a premiere event for showcasing Hexagon’s vision of enabling smart digital realities that ultimately create autonomous connected ecosystems (ACE) for digital transformation,” said Ola Rollén, Hexagon President and CEO. “The increasing role of autonomous technology is vital to enabling unaided decisions that draw and act on information from multiple sources simultaneously and become smarter over time. This is our focus and we are once again honoured to share our ACE ideas and progress around smart cities, BIM, Geospatial 4.0 and other highly relevant topics to be discussed at the event.”

During the conference portion of INTERGEO, Hexagon executives have multiple speaking engagements, which include the following:

  • Bridging the Divide – Smart Digital Reality 18 October, 11 a.m.
Mladen Stojic, President, Hexagon’s Geospatial division, will explore the rich potential of 5D location intelligence to gain situational awareness of what’s happening now and what could, should and will be in the near future.
  • From Digital to Safe Cities 16 October, 11 a.m.
Maximilian Weber, Senior Vice President, Hexagon’s Safety and Infrastructure division, will discuss the potential of “the Internet of People” within a Smart City, exploring the evolving possibilities and future outcomes of this new network.
  • Edge Computing Empowering Reality Capture 16 October, 4:30 p.m.
Juergen Mayer, Laser Scanning Business Director, Hexagon’s Geosystems division, will present the latest development in edge computing technology and explain how to gain maximum productivity on any site with the new Leica RTC360 3D reality capture solution.
  • 4D Construction Site – Full Lifecycle Benefits for Building 17 October, 2 p.m.
Michael Dorman, Global Director, Multivista (part of Hexagon), will look at how today’s construction leaders are reducing design, construction, marketing and operating expenses throughout a project’s lifecycle with digital solutions and the democratisation of data.
  • Aerial Intelligence
Valentin Fuchs, UAV Product Manager, and Anne Pitkaenen, UAV Marketing Manager, Hexagon’s Geosystems division, will provide insights into the latest developments of the new Leica Aibot while returning again this year for the popular UAV flight demos. Daily Leica Aibot flight demos and talks will be given at the IAS Expo at INTERGEO.
