AUSA Honors Leidos Chairman and CEO With Prestigious John W. Dixon Award

RESTON, Va.Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a FORTUNE® 500 science and technology leader, announced its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Roger Krone, was chosen by the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) as the 2018 recipient of its distinguished John W. Dixon Award. The award is presented annually for outstanding contributions to national defense by a member of the industrial community.

“The work that the Association of the U.S. Army does in strengthening the ties between the soldier and family, and local communities, has taken on greater importance with the passage of time,” said Krone. “The Leidos team also takes pride in knowing that we execute important tasks that support our soldiers in harm’s way. I dedicated my own career to ensuring our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines were able to do their jobs with the best technology. I am honored to receive this award.”

Under Krone’s leadership, Leidos has become a proven leader in IT and technology services that address a dynamic defense environment. The company’s defense footprint includes: securing the Department of Defense’s global information network; providing foreign language translation services for the Defense Intelligence Agency; and delivering complex solutions for military health systems.

Leidos specifically supports the Army by making investments in artificial intelligence, big data, simulated training, complex logistics, intel, surveillance & reconnaissance, and command and control capabilities. Additionally, Krone supports Army communities through programs such as Leidos’ Operation Drug-Free Communities, an initiative at the Army’s Aberdeen Proving Ground facility to help fight opioid addiction.

Krone has held leadership positions for nearly 40 years at aerospace organizations. He joined Leidos as CEO in 2014 and has applied his expertise and strategic vision to guide the company through significant changes. In late 2016, he spearheaded the successful merger of Leidos with Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Solutions business. The deal created a highly competitive solutions-based organization – with a strengthened portfolio of unmatched technical expertise.
