Join GITA in Tampa – March 2019!

GITA is proud to announce along with our local GITA Central Florida Chapter that we will be co-locating a GITA Event alongside the annual CGA 811 Excavation Safety Conference & Expo!

Building off the success of a recent event held in Phoenix, GITA is looking forward to an exciting and dynamic event in Tampa, March 25-26, 2019.  The 2019 conference will be held at the Tampa Convention Center.

The GITA Tampa 2019 Committee is seeking a variety of papers of interest to the utility protection industry as well as any geospatial subject that provides a unique solution or project.

The committee is welcoming both full presentations (up to 25 minutes in length), as well as brief presentations (up to 12 minutes in length) for “lightning talks”.

This will be a fabulous opportunity to present at a unique learning event while enjoying a break from a long winter by joining us in Tampa. Come enjoy all the activities the Tampa/St. Petersburg area has to offer.

Possible subjects of interest:

  • Drones / UAVs for surveys and inspections
  • Customer engagement utilizing geospatial data
  • Analytics, leveraging your network and software to improve performance
  • Spatial awareness, effectively sharing your data
  • Change management, improvements via technology and staff performance
  • Safety improvements and damage protection
  • Mobile utility field mapping applications
  • Post storm assessment projects and applications.

Or anything you feel can benefit the broader geospatial community!  Don’t be shy; this is not a utility exclusive conference!
