Continental Mapping Consultants Awarded $570M in Prime Contracts for Global Geomatics Elevation and Aeronautical Feature Mapping for National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA)

(Sun Prairie, WI)—June, 2018 — Continental Mapping Consultants, Inc. received award of two 10-year prime contracts with a total value of $570M with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency for global geomatics elevation and aeronautical feature mapping. NGA, a major intelligence and combat support agency of the Department of Defense, is acquiring the products and services under a new multi-vendor 10-year, IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) contract; JANUS.

Continental Mapping has successfully performed global High Resolution Terrain (HRTe) geospatial data collection and production for nearly 10 years across the globe. In addition, Continental Mapping has performed global aeronautical mapping and has developed software tools to assist in the collection, curation and production of vertical obstruction identification and aeronautical product creation. Our partnerships provide the NGA with global collection capabilities and high quality elevation and aeronautical geospatial data production.

“We are proud to continue supporting NGA’s mission for the next decade as a prime contractor, as we have for the past 15 years as a subcontractor. This opportunity will allow Continental Mapping to expand our geospatial production and innovation centers in Madison, WI, St Louis, MO, and Gainesville, VA to provide value to the Defense and Intelligence community for the long-term.”

-David Hart, CEO

Continental Mapping continues to support NGA by increasing its investment in research & development and implementation of new technologies. This investment is a large portion of our CAPEX program and enables us to directly impact the NGA mission to strengthen our Nation through command of geospatial intelligence.
