SpaceKnow Hires Jeremy Fand as VP of Product

SAN FRANCISCO – SpaceKnow, a leading provider of geospatial analytics, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Fand as VP of Product to lead the firm’s product development efforts globally.

Based in New York, Fand will have responsibility for the development of SpaceKnow’s growing suite of financial index products, as well as the GIS analytics platform.

Fand is a well-known veteran in the financial services industry, having most recently served as a senior product manager at Bloomberg, LP.

At Bloomberg, Fand oversaw Macro and Equity Analytics and directed a variety of alternative data projects across the domains of macro markets, quantamentals, economics, cross border flows and holdings analysis for global equity and fixed income markets.

Notably, he spearheaded the launch of a number of nowcasting and non-traditional indices that track the global economy from space, from social media and sensor data. Prior to Bloomberg, Fand was with Tudor Investment Corporation, serving as a global macro portfolio manager as well as a foreign exchange and cross border flow strategist. Fand also spent time with UBS AG where he was the Global Head of FX strategy.

“Jeremy has a deeply relevant track record building sophisticated big data products, coupled with a nuanced appreciation for financial markets,” said Pavel Machalek, SpaceKnow’s co-founder and CEO. “We’re delighted to have someone of his energy and caliber to drive the launch of unique new economic index offerings and further refine our web-based analytics platform.”
