MAPPS Elects New Officers, Directors

Reston, VA – MAPPS, the national association of private sector geospatial firms, announced today the slate of new officers and directors elected for 2017-2018. Brian Raber, Merrick & Company (Greenwood Village, CO), assumed the office of President of MAPPS for a 2-year term. Raber succeeds Susan Marlow, Stantec (Nashville, TN). For the past year he served as President-Elect.

Mark Brooks, Optimal Geo, Inc. (Decatur, AL), was elected to the position of President-Elect and will succeed to the office of President is 2019.

Pam Nobles, 3DS (Tallahassee, FL), was elected to the position of Secretary; Tom Newman, TerraSond (Palmer, AK) was elected to the position of Treasurer.

Chris Ogier, Michael Baker International (Norcross, GA) won re-election as a Director on the MAPPS Board. John Copple, The Sanborn Map Company, Inc. (Colorado Springs, CO), Mark Schubert, Aerial Surveys International, LLC (Watkins, CO), and Doug Ward, Aerial Data Services, Inc. (Tulsa, OK) joined as Directors on the MAPPS Board. Jim Van Rens, Riegl USA (Orlando, FL) joins the Board as a Director representing MAPPS Associate Members. Incumbent Director Bob Hanson, Michael Baker International (Harrisburg, PA) rounds out the 10-person Board.

The vote of new Directors by the MAPPS membership was held during the association’s annual business meeting on July 25, at the MAPPS Summer Conference at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
