RoboBusiness Europe and TUS Expo Announce Rotterdam as 2018 Host City

ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands — RoboBusiness Europe and TUS Expo, which have established themselves as the premier robotics and unmanned systems events in Europe, plan to build on the success of the 1st International Robotics Week in next year’s events.

Robo Business Media has announced that it has chosen the city of Rotterdam as the location of RoboBusiness Europe and TUS Expo 2018. Due to strong efforts from Rotterdam Partners, which highlighted the city’s potential because of its status as a place of modern business and technology, RoboBusiness Europe and TUS Expo are excited to build upon previous year’s success.

RoboBusiness Europe and the TUS Expo are both part of the 2nd International Robotics Week, a collection of events focused on robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and unmanned systems. Both events will be held at the WTC Rotterdam. “Rotterdam’s key business sectors, which include medical, agri-food, cleantech, maritime services & logistics, match up perfectly with the robotics & unmanned systems industries,” says Martijn van Dijk, co-founder Robo Business Media. “These factors, together with the City of Rotterdam’s willingness to work with us on the overall program, made the decision to choose Rotterdam a logical one.”

RoboBusiness Europe explores innovation in robotics and AI. Conference sessions discuss the development and use of robotics and AI across a multitude of vertical markets, led by experts in their respective fields. The trade show will let you explore the latest in robotics and AI and let you gain knowledge on how companies are jumping into opportunities in this field.

TUS Expo is the best place to engage with unmanned systems experts and create connections with fellow attendees, exhibitors, and potential partners. Experience product unveilings, and learn how to grow your business through the latest in robotics and unmanned systems technology. The conference sessions will include developments in the unmanned systems and discuss innovations in all related markets.

Attendees will also be able to choose from at least 15 supporting events, allowing them explore topics of interest in more depth. The following events will be among the full list of offerings in 2018:
• Live indoor and outdoor drone and robotics demonstrations
• Hydrographic Society Benelux Summit
• Live indoor and outdoor maritime demonstrations
• Startup Pitch fire event
• Networking parties
DroneClash: a spectacular anti-drone and security event
• Several Innovation Tours
• Matchmaking

“From the port, to the hospital, to the greenhouse, robotics play an integral part of daily operations in Rotterdam,” says Maarten Struijvenberg, Rotterdam Vice Mayor Employment and Economy, “Hosting this event in Rotterdam will not only encourage further development of current industries, but also foster the right environment for start-ups seeking to position themselves. We are pleased to be working closely with all the involved parties to make this a success.”
