Hallowell, Maine – Blue Marble Geographics (www.bluemarblegeo.com) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting two events in San Diego during the week of the annual Esri User Conference. The latest stop in the 2017 Blue Marble User Conference (BMUC) series will take place on Thursday, July 13and a one-day, hands-on LiDAR workshop will be conducted on Friday July 14.

For over two decades, Blue Marble’s affordable, user-friendly GIS software has been meeting the needs of hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers throughout the world. Users come from all industries including software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as government departments and academic institutions.

BMUC is a gathering of geospatial professionals representing a wide variety of industry sectors, government departments, and academic institutions who share a common interest in Blue Marble’s GIS and geodetic technology.

Attendees gain insight into current and future product plans; hear from interesting and innovative users of Blue Marble’s geospatial tools; pick up useful tips and tricks for optimizing the application of both Global Mapper and Geographic Calculator; and participate in the on-going collaborative development process by providing feedback and requests to the Blue Marble team. Lunch will be provided.

The one-day LiDAR workshop will explore all aspects of LiDAR processing from initial data quality assurance to 3D analysis. The class will introduce the structure and characteristics of LiDAR data before following a series of workflows that demonstrate the point cloud visualization, editing, and analysis capabilities of Global Mapper and the accompanying LiDAR Module.

“We are very pleased to be offering two opportunities for Esri UC delegates to learn about Blue Marble’s geospatial technology,” stated Blue Marble’s President, Patrick Cunningham. “We welcome both users and non-users to join us for BMUC and for the LiDAR workshop.”

Registration is required for both of these events and space is limited. For more information on BMUC San Diego, visit:
