Department of Interior Awards Major Multi-Year Contract to Hexagon US Federal

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., June 5, 2017 – On behalf of the Department of Interior (DOI), the U.S. Geological Survey awarded Hexagon US Federal, formerly Intergraph Government Solutions, a five-year blanket purchase agreement to provide access to a full suite of geospatial products and solutions.

The contract provides for the purchase of Hexagon software and related software maintenance. Hexagon products are diverse and technology use will include spatial modeling, point cloud extraction, image classification, photogrammetry and radar analysis, as well as Hexagon’s suite of tailorable cloud-based exploitation solutions.

“We’re excited about how these technologies will help the Department of Interior fulfill their mission,” said Joe Fehrenbach, chief executive officer and president of Hexagon US Federal. “We offer proven products and services that will provide actionable information to the Department and its partners.”

Organizations within DOI such as the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Reinforcement and the U.S. Geological Survey will have access to the technology.

The product suite includes remote sensing industry-leader ERDAS IMAGINE, which allows organizations to save both time and money, leveraging existing data investments and improving image analysis capabilities with one software application.

Intergraph Government Solutions became Hexagon US Federal earlier this year. For more information, please visit www.hexagonusfederal.com.
