Nominations Open for Asia Geospatial Excellence Awards

Kuala Lumpur: Geospatial Media and Communications is pleased to announce that the nominations for Asia Geospatial Excellence Awards are now open.

As geospatial information and technology is becoming a critical tool in nation building and decision-making, governments and business enterprises are now recognizing its power and incorporating the same in their processes. Such technology initiatives are playing a significant role in shaping world economy and society. In order to recognize and encourage such efforts in Asia Pacific region, Geospatial Media and Communications has been recognizing and felicitating projects, leaders, and organizations for exemplary innovations and practices in geospatial information and technology in the Asia Pacific region, at the annual GeoSmart Asia conference.

The categories for nominations are:

  • Geospatial Application Excellence Awards
  • Geospatial Technology Innovation Awards
  • Geospatial Policy Implementation Awards

 

With the theme ‘Commercialization and Commoditization of Geospatial Information’, GeoSmart Asia 2017, will discuss the impacts of global trends on Asia’s geospatial ecosystem. The conference will take place from August 22-24, 2017, in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

This year, the conference will recognize exemplary geospatial application, innovation and policy implementation across industries. If you feel your geospatial project is worthy of this recognition, please submit your nomination for Asia Geospatial Excellence Awards before 30 May 2017.
