GIS and Cartographic Solutions Consultants, Lovell Johns, Showcase 50 Years of Expertise with New Website

Map Making and GIS consultants, Lovell Johns, today announced the launch of their redesigned website.

Planning for the updated site began late last year after canvassing opinion within the business about the shortfalls of the current site and what they hoped to achieve with the new design.

A key concern was that the years of expertise and the wide range of projects the company undertakes was not being adequately represented on the website. Despite hundreds of beautiful illustrated, wayfinding and promotional maps being produced each year for local government, publishers and businesses, images on the old site were small and didn’t allow for exploration of the detail.

In addition, the company’s extensive work in web mapping and GIS solutions for healthcare, housing and the European Commission was hidden within a complicated navigational structure on the site.

As a result, the key focus of the new site has been on showcasing the expertise of the Lovell Johns team, its many years of experience in GIS and map design, and its innovation in the industry.

By improving the navigation of the site and images on their case studies the company hopes that visitors will better understand the full range of services on offer, and the exceptional quality of their award-winning work. The site also now features responsive design to meet the increasing demands from modern phones and tablets.

Symon Porteous, Business Development Manager, said of the website:

“We believe that the new website is easier to navigate and gives a clearer understanding of the mapping and Geographic Information services we offer through the use of larger and better quality images.  We wanted the new site to better showcase our work but also continue the work we started many years ago with new and interesting blogs and case studies as well as add additional mapping services as we develop them.”
