AppGeo Becomes A Google Enterprise Maps Premier Partner

AppGeo (Applied Geographics, Inc.) announced today that it has been promoted to Premier Partner in Google Maps API™. Google sells its Maps products through an exclusive partner channel and AppGeo is now one of eight Premier Partners in North America. This promotion to Premier is based on AppGeo’s demonstrated expertise and success in helping customers deploy and use Google Maps API. This new designation from Google provides customers the assurance of AppGeo’s expertise advising on and deploying Google products.

“We’re pleased to be recognized as a Premier Partner”, said Michael Terner, Executive Vice President of AppGeo. “With Premier training, support and deployment tools from Google, we can offer comprehensive solutions to our customer’s enterprise mapping and visualization requirements.”

Terner, who oversees the Google Partnership for AppGeo, continued, “We believe our most important job as a Google Partner is to help customers realize the benefits of using geography to boost their business or services. For over two decades we have been engaged in helping businesses visualize and analyze their market potential, manage properties and assets, and improve business systems integration. With the Google Maps API, we are helping governments and businesses to publish and share their data more efficiently and at scale within Google’s well known user interface.”

“AppGeo has a successful 25-year track record of recognizing and supporting innovative geospatial IT products,” said Rich Grady, AppGeo President.  “When consumer Google Maps was introduced over a decade ago, it made previously hard to get data and technology accessible to everyone, and stimulated a renaissance in thinking about what is feasible with maps and imagery. We recognized the potential right away, and now, every day we help our customers do more with their data using Google Maps API.”

Google Maps API™ powers the maps on tens of thousands of commercial web-sites with a powerful Javascript API that provides rich access to Google’s unsurpassed geo content, including roads, addresses, places and aerial imagery.

In addition to its consulting practice, AppGeo powers its own leading online Web mapping solution –  MapGeo – with the Google Maps API.
