MULTIROTOR Service-Drones G4 Surveying-Robot Scores Silver Medal at Worlds First Drone Marathon

MULTIROTOR service-drones G4 surveying-robot scores silver medal at worlds first drone marathon this Sunday in Berlin. The venue took place at Berlins historic harness racing track in Karlshorst with 8 commercial drone manufacturers participating. The main goal was to demonstrate operational reliability during 30 rounds including stops for battery exchange.

Dr. Frank Schönbohm operated an out-of-the-box G4 surveying-robot during the 42km race with top speeds of 107km/h. MULTIROTORs award winning world class flight control kept the drone at a narrow 10m band at all times in spite of strong gusts and wind speeds around 45km/h. Finishing the race after 40 min MULTIROTOR was only second to a system with quadruple battery power with the remaining drones coming in up to 20 minutes later.

About MULTIROTOR by service-drone.com

The company founded in March 2011 has made it right off the bat with more than 700 systems sold to become the industry leader in the field of professional multi-rotor drones for commercial and institutional use. In the autumn of 2014, the company won the ARTIE Innovation Award with their newly developed MULTIROTOR G4 flight control system, and successfully claimed the top spot of innovative industrial applications with the likewise newly developed surveying flight robot, the MULTIROTOR G4 Surveying Robot.

There has been an OEM partnership with the US geodesy world market leader Trimble since summer of 2015. MULTIROTOR supplies Trimble with the surveying flying robot Trimble ZX5 and is therefore the world’s largest drone manufacturer for surveying drones.
