Chandigarh: UT MC Keen on Replicating Mohali’s Cleaning System

If all goes as per plan, Chandigarh will soon replicate Mohali’s mechanised cleaning system based on geographic information system (GIS). It was decided at a meeting of the Tricity’s Mayor Council — comprising all the three mayors of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali — on Tuesday. Finding the GIS-based system appealing, Mayor Arun Sood said that they would now have the same method of sanitation in the city. The technology in Mohali tracks cleaning operations for the entire city through GPS- and mobile-based apps. Read More at The Indian Express
