Nepal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (NICS), and Nepal Remote Sensing and Photogrammetric Society (NRSPS) are jointly organizing International Workshop on the “Role of Land Professionals and SDI in Disaster Risk Reduction: in the context of ‘Post 2015 Nepal Earth Quake’ from November 25-27, 2015 in Kathmandu, Nepal (www.workshopnepal2015.com.np). The workshop is a joint event of the Commission 2 of the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), and Technical Commission IV, WG 4 of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS).
We are pleased to inform you that the twenty-second session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-22) will be held from December 1-4, 2015 in Bali, Indonesia, under the theme of “Sharing Solutions through Synergy in Space.” APRSAF-22 will be jointly organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia (RISTEK-DIKTI), the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT), and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). APRSAF-22 will consist of plenary and working group sessions. During APRSAF-22, we will also have progress reports on the APRSAF initiatives, i.e. Sentinel Asia (disaster management support system in the Asia-Pacific region), SAFE (Space Applications For Environment), and Kibo-ABC (Asian Beneficial Collaboration Through “Kibo” Utilization). In conjunction with APRSAF-22, there will also be SAFE workshop and Kibo-ABC workshop on November 30.
