New Leica Zeno 20 redefines GIS data collection

The Leica Zeno 20 is the first high accuracy data collector tool that can run on an Android or Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5.3 operating system. Users can now download their favourite Android apps to customise this robust and highly precise data collector into a device as simple to use as their own smartphones.

The Leica Zeno 20 also offers two new flexible software solutions running on Android: the new Zeno Mobile and the new Zeno Connect. The Zeno Mobile is designed to provide an easy, flexible and efficient data collection workflow for the non-GIS and non-survey professional and the new Zeno Connect streams RTK-corrected GNSS positons to any app using the Android Location Manager.

“You don’t need training to use this highly intuitive software. You simply open the box, and while charging the Zeno 20, watch 1 or 2 “how-to” videos, then you are ready for your first field job. GIS data collection has never been so intuitive and easy,” says Johannes Hotz, Senior Product Manager at Leica Geosystems. In addition, the Zeno 20 offers a great deal of content, such as a free one year access to the new Hexagon Imagery Program or access to Open Street Map data.
Upgradeable GNSS options (metre, sub-metre or cm) let users choose the accuracy that fits their needs and budget.

More durability, more performance, more flexibility
Leica Zeno 20 is surprisingly lightweight and compact considering it offers the largest and brightest 4.7” outdoor screen; a durable IP67 dust and waterproof rating; and an extremely fast processor that is able to handle large amounts of datasets. Workers in the field work more efficiently, longer and are more productive using the Zeno 20.
In addition, by combining the DISTO™ S910 with Leica Zeno 20, inaccessible, hard-to-reach or buried locations can be measured safely and with less hassle, setting a new standard for collecting GIS data.

Availability
The Leica Zeno 20 is available as of the end of June. Ordering information and details are available from all authorised Leica Geosystems representatives.
