Leica Geosystems introduces new robust DISTO™ X1 to its laser distance meter portfolio

Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, has expanded its DISTO™ portfolio with the all-new Leica DISTO™ X1. Designed to withstand the rigours of active interior construction sites, the DISTO™ X1 is a user-friendly and robust model joining the most comprehensive portfolio of laser distance meters. With its durable design and ability to transfer data seamlessly between field and office, the DISTO™ X1 offers a fast and reliable performance for daily measurement tasks on the construction site.

Built for workers operating in active and often dusty construction environments, like painters, plasterers, and plumbers, the DISTO™ X1 is a practical and reliable distance meter. Its robust housing, made of rubber and glass-fibre reinforced plastic, is built to withstand accidental drops up to 2 metres. This ensures durability and protects the device’s longevity, making it a safe investment for interior construction professionals.

With IP65 protection, the DISTO™ X1 performs in dusty and wet conditions. It can even be cleaned under a running tap meaning users can complete any measurement task to a high standard without worrying about breaking the equipment.

Designed for project efficiency, the DISTO X1 features NFC for effortless data transfer and a quick connection to the Leica DISTO Plan app, streamlining visualisation and documentation. With a range of 100 metres and 1.5 mm accuracy, enhanced screen readability, and new volume measurement function, interior construction workers can confidently measure any room and in any condition, while painters can generate quotes and perform material calculations with speed and accuracy.
