Saumitra Chaudhuri, member of Planning Commission, New Delhi, said on Thursday that the 12th Plan would give priority to infrastructure. Inaugurating the two-day national conference on “Development challenges in the 12th Five Year Plan” organised by the Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management at Nitte in Udupi district, Mr. Chaudhuri said that infrastructure development would include power generation, construction of highways, airports, railways, and urban mass transit, and development of nuclear energy.
