FARO Announces 4th Annual Asia Pacific 3D User Conference

Singapore — FARO Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: FARO), the world’s most trusted source for 3D measurement, imaging, and realization technology, is proud to present the fourth edition of the annual FARO 3D User Conference, specifically organized for the Asia Pacific region. With plans for two exclusive sharing sessions to be held in Beijing (China) and Tokyo (Japan), FARO’s 3D User Conference 2016 will once again serve as an important platform for the 3D community to take advantage of various knowledge-exchange interactions and networking opportunities.

Leading market research firm, Markets and Markets[1], forecasted that the global 3D terrestrial laser scanning market would reach $3.7 billion by 2020, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.0% from 2015 to 2020. Additionally, findings from Research and Markets[2] have projected the 3D scanning market in the Asia Pacific region to net over a billion dollars by 2018, at a CAGR of 15.1%. Both research reports illustrate strong development and the growing influence of the Asian 3D documentation community.

“As a leading global 3D measurement and documentation solutions provider, FARO has been established in Asia Pacific for over 16 years and we are keen to share our expertise with the regional 3D community,” Joseph Arezone, Managing Director Europe, Middle East & Africa and Managing Director Asia Pacific, FARO, shared. “We recognize value in providing an interactive venue for the industry to connect with one another, and to engage in discussions about recent ground-breaking technologies in the market.”

Bringing together executives from the Architecture Engineering and Construction (AEC), Energy and Natural Resources, Heritage, Law Enforcement, Process, Power, and Piping (PPP), and Shipbuilding industries, the 3D User Conference will feature a robust agenda to showcase how laser scanning solutions can benefit multiple verticals and applications.

Conference attendees can seize the opportunity to learn about the capabilities and potential of 3D terrestrial laser scanning technology through keynote presentations, power speeches, case studies, and active engagement with industry heavyweights. As part of the conference experience, participants can also interact with selected technology solution companies, who will be exhibiting their solutions and products in the 3D Exhibition segment.

The Asia Pacific 3D User Conference sessions’ dates and cities are as follows:

  • 31 May 2016 – Tokyo, Japan
  • 8 July 2016 – Beijing, China

*Conference location and time to be updated on website at a later date.

Arezone concluded, “We were encouraged by the positive turnout and feedback received from our previous conference sessions in China and Japan, so we decided to focus exclusively on both cities to offer attendees an even better conference experience this year. We have high expectations for the fourth edition of the FARO 3D User Conference, and look forward to again welcoming a varied group of likeminded users as we embark on a learning journey together.”
