National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Caraga will launch its Regional Geographic Information System Center (RGISC) on March 22. The RGISC promotes Geographic Information System (GIS) as a tool for effective planning, decision-making, policy formulation, investment programming and monitoring and evaluation for sustainable development of Caraga Region. Specifically, the RGISC shall continuously build and improve the NEDA Caraga GIS Center in terms of hardware, software, technical skills and data capture (spatial and non-spatial). As the hub of GIS-based data from LGUs, RLAs, NGOs, academe and other stakeholders, the center serves as a one-stop shop of data needs of donors, tourists, researchers, planners, students and the communities.
