Map of the Month: Retail Turnover, Europe 2025

Our Geomarketing Map of the Month for July shows the retail turnover growth rate in 31 European countries in 2025.

In 2025, retail turnover growth in the European Union continued to slow compared to the previous year, reaching 2.1 percent. The strongest gains were seen in Northern and Eastern European countries, with Norway leading at 13.1 percent, followed by Lithuania (+10.0 percent), Sweden (+8.9 percent), Bulgaria (+8.2 percent), and Slovakia (+8.0 percent).

By contrast, many large Western European markets remained subdued. Among the 31 countries considered by the study, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and Switzerland recorded only modest growth, while retail turnover in the United Kingdom even declined by 0.6 percent.
