Advisory Board Announced for Geo Week 2027

Leading geospatial and mapping event selects industry leaders to help deliver critical insights to geospatial professionals

Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, June 4, 2026 – Organizers of Geo Week, the premier conference and tradeshow that brings together geospatial and mapping professionals, have announced an impressive list of influential leaders who will be participating on the 2027 Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is responsible for recommending conference topics and speakers, consulting on the program, and acting as a resource for networking and developing different aspects of the event. Geo Week 2027 takes place February 23-25, 2027, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“Geospatial technology never stands still, and neither does the way professionals are applying it. Keeping up with that evolution is something we take seriously, and our Advisory Board is a big part of how we do it,” said Adrianne Madden, Event Director of Geo Week. “We’re fortunate to work with some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry. Their perspective ensures our event stays grounded in what matters most to the practitioners, project leaders, and innovators who attend Geo Week every year.”

The Advisory Board continues to have stalwart support from longtime industry leaders, and welcomed two new members this year, David Epps, CTO of Envision Construction, and Izabela Miller, GIS Leadership Consultant at Growing Curiosity.

“This industry is evolving fast, and having a dedicated place for geospatial, reality capture, BIM, drones, lidar, digital twins, and construction technology professionals to come together is incredibly valuable. So many of these workflows overlap now, and Geo Week creates a forum where those conversations can happen across disciplines instead of in silos,” said Epps.

Members of the 2027 Advisory Board include:

  • Dr. Qassim Abdullah, Woolpert, Inc.
  • Dan Bellissemo, GIS Surveyors, Inc.
  • Andrew Brenner, NV5 Geospatial
  • David Epps, Envision Construction
  • Martin Flood, GeoCue Group, Inc.
  • Thomas Haun, Turner Staffing Group
  • Blaine Horner, Merrick & Company
  • Shawana P. Johnson, Global Marketing Insights, Inc.
  • Kourosh Langari, HNTB
  • Patrick Lohman, Cloneable AI
  • Izabela Miller, Growing Curiosity
  • Mohamed Mostafa, Trimble Applanix
  • Jonathan Murphy, GoGeomatics Canada
  • Danielle O’Connell, Skanska
  • Dr. Jason Stoker, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)

In addition to in-depth content, Geo Week looks to the Advisory Board to help grow and inspire the workforce, foster leadership, and expand networking opportunities. “The technology changes. The software evolves. But the community – the GIS professionals who show up year after year, committed to doing this work well – that is what this field is actually made of,” said Miller. “I hope [the next generation of geospatial professionals] leave knowing that technical excellence is the beginning – not the ceiling. And that the leaders they need are already in this room.”

More information on the Geo Week Advisory Board, including their perspectives on the importance of bringing the geospatial community together at Geo Week, can be found on the Geo Week Advisory Board page.

The Geo Week Call for Speakers is open and accepting submissions through July 17. Full event information, including workshops, conference programming, networking events, and more, will be available soon. Registration opens in September – fill out an inquiry form to stay in the know.
