SBG Systems expands its IMU line with the announcement of Pulse-20 and the full commercial availability of Pulse-80

Carrières-sur-Seine — SBG Systems is proud to announce the upcoming release of the Pulse-20, a sub-miniature, industrial-grade Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which will be available before the end of the year.

Alongside the commercial availability of the Pulse-80, the company now offers a complete range of high-performance IMUs — Pulse-20, Pulse-40, and Pulse-80 — designed to meet the needs of every applications ranging from compact systems to high-end platforms requiring FOG-level performance.

A Complete IMU Range for Every Application

The SBG IMU now covers three levels of performance:

  • Pulse-20: Sub-miniature, industrial-grade IMU delivering high performance in a compact form factor. It includes built-in magnetometers for 9-degree-of-freedom measurements and features CAN communication in addition to serial, enabling integration in a large range of applications.
  • Pulse-40: Tactical-grade IMU, combining robustness and precision for demanding applications
  • Pulse-80: High tactical-grade IMU, offering FOG-level performance without the size, weight, and cost of traditional fiber-optic gyros.

This range with various performance levels allows integrators to select the right solution for their needs while relying on a consistent architecture, software integration and quality requirements across the entire product line.

Shared Excellence Across the Range

All Pulse IMUs share the same software interface and benefit from SBG Systems’ customer support.  Each unit is thoroughly tested, qualified, and individually temperature calibrated, including the entry-level Pulse-20, that ensures unmatched reliability and performance consistency across all products.

“With the Pulse-20 announcement and the commercial availability of the Pulse-80, SBG Systems now offers a full IMU portfolio that addresses the entire market, from compact industrial systems to the most demanding applications requiring FOG-level performance. Our customers can rely on a single, consistent interface and uncompromising quality for their various applications,” said Yoann Plénet, Head of Product at SBG Systems.

Applications Across Industries

The Pulse IMUs serve a wide spectrum of industries, including unmanned vehicles, guidance and navigation for munitions, electro-optical systems, satcom-on-the-move, and surveying.   Their flexibility, compact size, and high accuracy make it suitable for both volume production and mission-critical applications.

Availability

The Pulse-80 is now available worldwide. The Pulse-20 will be commercially available later this year. More information can be found at: https://www.sbg-systems.com/imu/
