YellowScan and Argosdyne expand reach with certified Lidar drone solution

YellowScan, a global provider of UAV Lidar solutions, has teamed up with drone manufacturer Argosdyne in a strategic partnership focused on the EasyMapper drone series, which has now been officially awarded the coveted C2 Class certification by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Both EasyMapper models – the EasyMapper-LS C2 and EasyMapper-LM C2 – known for their signature orange colour, have officially received C2 Class certification (EASA reference: PR-318-AL-200F). This means they meet strict EU-wide safety and performance standards, making it easier for users to operate them across Europe with confidence and in full compliance with drone regulations.

“This C2 classification represents a major milestone for our successful collaborative efforts with Argosdyne” said Teresa Hong, Senior Business Development Manager Asia-Pacific at YellowScan. “It opens substantial new opportunities across the European market while reinforcing our commitment to delivering solutions that meet the highest regulatory standards.”

As part of the partnership, YellowScan supplies OEM versions of its trusted Lidar technology to Argosdyne, which integrates these systems into its EasyMapper drone platform. The resulting bundled solution is then offered to customers, dealers, and resellers around the world. To support users globally, Argosdyne handles technical training and first-level support, while YellowScan provides second-level expertise, ensuring a complete service offering.

Argosdyne is actively growing its global distribution network, with a strong emphasis on the U.S. market. The company has already secured drone licenses for government tenders in Malaysia and Thailand and is collaborating with dealers across the Asia-Pacific region to roll out demo units of the EasyMapper system.

The EasyMapper has already shown strong performance in real-world conditions, with successful deployments in Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and New Zealand.
