INTERGEO Live and Digital 2021 Opens

The international ‘Smarter-Makers’ event begins live in Hannover

INTERGEO, the largest meeting place for the geospatial industry, opened today in Hannover. Utilising its hybrid concept, the leading event for geodesy, geo-information and land management reaches target groups worldwide. As the first major live event for the international solutions community, INTERGEO is launching with a convincing sanitation approach.

Prof. Hansjörg Kutterer, president of the organisation DVW e.V., opened INTERGEO on Tuesday morning, 21st September 2021. In his welcome speech, he emphasised the importance of direct contact with the industry after the forced break due to Corona: “At INTERGEO 2021, the geospatial industry will meet for a long awaited personal exchange. At last, we can once again present our solutions for a smart world to decision-makers from business, administration and politics.

Intensive exchange of expertise at the CONFERENCE

Christiane Salbach, Managing Director of DVW GmbH comments: “We are delighted that INTERGEO is the first major live event for the geo-community this year. We have received a lot of encouragement towards holding it as a hybrid event. Just how much confidence there is in the live part of INTERGEO is reflected by the fact that over 90% of our speakers in the CONFERENCE will be live on site.” The CONFERENCE will once again highlight trends in more than 120 presentations by international speakers.

EXPO with over 250 exhibitors and STAGE programme

INTERGEO EXPO will also be flying the flag again in 2021! “We have navigated INTERGEO through a very challenging phase in close consultation with the exhibition industry, and are delighted that we are now not only picking up speed, but have also set many important courses for the future!” says Daniel Katzer, INTERGEO Project Manager at HINTE GmbH, the company responsible for the trade fair.

Across two exhibition halls as well as the digital platform, the participating companies will be showcasing their innovations and solutions in the fields of geodesy, geo-IT, building information modelling (BIM), drones and Smart City. With 55 product releases, INTERGEO is once again the international showroom for world-firsts! For the first time in two years, intensive trade fair business will take place once again over approx. 20,000 square metres. The STAGES will feature three days of practical programmes. Based on the hybrid concept developed especially for INTERGEO, visitors from any country can opt to participate digitally if they are currently unable to travel to Germany due to restrictions.

Solution providers and ‘Smarter-Makers’

DVW President, Kutterer, sums up how important it is for the industry to come together again: “We are facing great challenges. Our motto “Inspiration for a smarter world” points the way here. Digitalisation has kicked into turbo and is revolutionising work and the economy. Climate change and environmental changes demand answers! Smart Cities, Smart Planning and Construction, BIM, Machine Learning or autonomous systems – these are just some of the topics that are bringing about change. INTERGEO is a solution provider in a moving time!”

Come to Hannover and experience INTERGEO live. Or bridge the worldwide distance by visiting EXPO and CONFERENCE virtually. Two paths – one goal: Be part of an international community that helps to understand and shape change…be one of the Smarter-Makers!
