GeoComm and Rave Mobile Safety Announce First-in-the-Nation Seamless Integration of Authoritative 9-1-1 Location Data into Emergency Mass Notification System

ST. CLOUD, Minn. & FRAMINGHAM, Mass.- GeoComm, a leading provider of Public Safety Location Intelligence® and Rave Mobile Safety (Rave), the critical communication and collaboration platform customers count on when it matters most, announced today a new and expanded strategic partnership to substantially improve the quality of data relied upon by public safety agencies to accurately target critical mass notification recipients. The integrated solution leverages GeoComm’s Public Safety Location Intelligence® Platform to empower agencies with authoritative and fully validated geographic information system (GIS) data through Rave’s emergency notification solution. This collaboration ensures the accurate delivery of critical public safety alerts to opted-in residents based on their geotargeted locations.

“GeoComm’s Public Safety Location Intelligence Platform empowers agencies with an innovative, cloud-native collaboration tool to improve the use of GIS data in their critical systems. Misdirected communications driven by inaccurate or out-of-date GIS data impacts the safety of people, assets and property,” said Erik Loberg, Vice President of Public Safety Applications, GeoComm. “Through our partnership with Rave, the first of its kind in the industry, our clients are now able to seamlessly leverage the same locally authoritative data they use to route 9-1-1 calls and dispatch responders to accurately deliver location-relevant emergency messages.”

“Our clients have asked for an easy way to leverage their locally validated and rigorously maintained GIS data to benefit their critical communications strategy. Traditional systems either rely on potentially inaccurate commodity map data or require expensive, time intensive update processes,” said Todd Piett, CEO, Rave Mobile Safety. “Our partnership with GeoComm provides an easy to use and powerful solution to maintain authoritative geocoded addresses to accurately target notification recipients.”

Joint clients have been actively involved in working together with Rave and GeoComm on the solution and the companies expect general availability of the integrated solution in summer 2021.
