Microdrones Partners with Lepont Instruments as a New Drone Surveying Equipment Distributor

Rome, NY –Lepont Instruments, one of the most efficient distributors of topographic material in France, has added all Microdrones surveying equipment and products to their portfolio. As a distributor and partner of Microdrones, Lepont will be able to supply their customers with LiDAR, photogrammetry, and gas detection solutions.
With the advancement of point cloud technology and growth of 3D data, Lepont Instruments knew they needed to find partners to provide this technology. “The surveying market evolves constantly, so we decided to evolve with it. This allows us to propose new solutions to our surveying clients and stay at the peak of innovation,” explains Didier Persin, Director at Lepont Instruments. “When Microdrones launched the Microdrones as a Service sales model, that was when we said, ‘Here it is, this is what we need.’ So, we were able to make this technology available at reasonable prices that resonates for our clients.”
mdaaS empowers customers to deploy the full hardware and software solution as a service which includes mdInfinity, packaged with either the purchase or rental of survey equipment.
“LiDAR technology evolves very fast,” says Irene Jimenez, the Sales Manager for South West Europe at Microdrones. “So, offering Lepont Instruments the ability to affordably rent or buy systems through our mdaaS solution helps them keep up with the evolution of the technology, which is key for them and ultimately their customers.”
“It’s more technology and software,” added Persin. “But it’s the future of surveying- mdaas will allow our clients to be equipped with a range of products including LiDAR, photogrammetry and gas detection.
There are many other applications and markets where these solutions are a great fit and Microdrones as  a Service makes it easy and affordable.”
