Unacast Partners with Mapidea to Deliver Geospatial Data Offerings

Unacast, an award-winning geospatial data and strategic insights company, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Mapidea, an industry-leading location analytics firm. This partnership will allow both companies to secure a foothold into the larger international retail market, serving as a bridge to the data packages that are currently part of Unacast’s flagship product, The Real World Graph®.

Mapidea has clients in several industry verticals, including retail, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, banking, and insurance. From identifying the best locations for new retail stores to optimizing telecom infrastructure, Mapidea helps companies analyze how and where their customers are interacting with their brands, both in the physical and digital world.

“Looking at data in different ways can help fill in gaps in the buyer’s journey” said Miguel Marques, Mapidea’s Founder and CEO. “This partnership with Unacast will help increase our data quality and quantity, allowing us to better understand offline activities at a more granular level.”

Unacast’s focus on bringing location data insights to a wider audience is also a key component to the partnership. Recently, Unacast has expanded to include retailers and retail real estate companies as a larger percentage of its client base. Bringing geospatial insights to these types of companies will help Unacast learn the specific needs of each industry.

“At Unacast, we always want to use data for good, especially when it comes to privacy and ethics,” said Thomas Walle, Co-Founder and CEO at Unacast. “Understanding how other industries could potentially use location data to solve real world problems is our goal.”

In addition to The Real World Graph®, Unacast also offers Pure and Activity Feeds to strategic partners who want to be closer to the data, creating or incorporating their own analysis with other data sets. Unacast also offers international data across Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia.
